  • The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries inter-governmental ýêîíîìèêî-political organization, which was formed(educated) in 1960 at a conference in Bagdad. However Charter of this organization was accepted only 5 years after in Caracas. Subsequently numerous changes were repeatedly introduced to him(it).
  • The OPEC pursues the following basic purposes:

    • Coordination and unification of petroleum policy of the states - members;
    • Definition(determination) of the most effective individual and collective means of protection of interests of the states - participants;
    • Survey of methods of maintenance of stability of the prices in the world(global) petroleum markets and bar of claim by lapse of time of their demurs,
    Which the pernicious consequences could âîçûìåòü for the countries - participants of organization;
    • Maintenance of the stable incomes of countries - manufacturers of petroleum;
    • Realization of measures on comprehensive environmental protection.
  • The members of a OPEC become only states, which in significant scales export crude petroleum. Now in a OPEC 12 states enter: Algeria, Venezuela, Ãàáîí, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Qatar, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria Incorporated Arabian Emirates, Saudi Arabia. For separate countries the Charter of organization stipulates a possibility of receiving of the status of the associate member of a OPEC.
